Hey all! I finally re-did that rat character of mine for 's rat mischief, Retrovertigo. As you can clearly see, I made some changes to her design. I'm not thrilled with her but I do like the final product and I think she'll grow on me =] I just hope Ziggy digs her 'cause holydamn do I ever want to see her drawn by the Queen of Rats herself. Especially if it's with Kyuss *HINTHINTNUDGENUDGE* He's the sexiest rat ever.

The peanut-shaped rat on top is an above view of her, and the design on the left is just what her belly looks like.

And i'd just like to point out that this reff does not do her justice at all...she's much more graceful and ladylike. I just can't make animals look female for some reason D:

Anywho, onto her information!

Name: Griffin
Age: 16 or so in human years((not sure how old that would be for a rat...a few months? Argh I dunno))
Species: Norway Rat
Variety: Dumbo Cinnamon hooded((with added markings))
Rank: Soldier

Physical Structure Summary:

-Is slightly larger than an average doe, but has a very lean and sleek body, very feminine despite her rank.

-Has a long mane of white hair starting on her head and sticking up down her back. It stands up even more when she is angered.

-Both her left and right ear have small tears in them from previous scuffles.

-Tail is longer than most rat's.

-Has a silver cuff around both back feet.

-Eyes are a vibrant gold-yellow and have a wild quality to them, they are also very expressive.

-There is a white oval-shaped spot on the top of her nose, and the tip of her bottom lip is white.

-She has a stripe of the same cinnamon orange as her hood going down the side of her body.

-There is a heavy black outline around her eyes.

-Instead of the usual pink or light grey, her hands and feet are an inky black and have a kind of satin-glove look to them which adds to her feminine appearance.


Personality:

Griffin is a living wad of spunk, energy, and sarcasm. She loves to run, jump, and go looking for fights. This does tend to get her into a lot of trouble, but she knows when to act mature and is very serious about her role in Retrovertigo. She enjoys fighting to some extent and can be quite the fearsome warrior when it's required. She keeps her claws filed to extremely sharp points and they are her main weapon in battle. Her signature move is to latch onto her opponent's back with said claws.

She is very flirtatious and spends most of her time hanging around with the male rats, both because she finds their company more appealing than the females, and because she has a hopeless infatuation with the Alpha male of the mischief. Despite being a soldier rat and displaying wild behavior, Griffin has a gift for being charming, flirty and even graceful.

Her temper is short and she is prone to snapping at random moments if she's been aggravated enough. This especially applies with children. She can't stand kids and avoids the young pups at all costs. However, even with her lack of patience and il-temper, she would risk her life for any of her fellow rats, especially the pups.

She has zero tolerance for betrayal and would fight even the alphas themselves if they turned on her.

Story:

((Warning: Long and boring, but i'll try to summarize))

Along with her brother, Griffin was purchased from the local pet store by a young male human who's biggest hobby was to conduct a vast majority of experiments on rats in his basement, being particularly interested in their methods of survival. Immediately after arriving at her new home, she was separated from her sibling and placed into a 10 gallon tank purposely filled to the brim with other does. Every day was a struggle to attain food and water, and Griffin soon became aggressive and was forced to fight for her survival.

As more weeks went by, the number of does decreased. Some starved, others were killed. When there were only a few left, they along with Griffin were removed from the tank and instead placed in separate areas of an enormous wooden labyrinth. The objective, of course, was to be the last one alive. He recorded their behavior and often encouraged fights by placing tiny scraps of food in the maze that rats would fight over.

So basically, as you can probably guess, Griffin was the last one standing in the maze. She was able to make her escape as the man was trying to move her back to her tank. He had figured she was too exhausted and worn to attack, but she had saved her strength so she could ravage his hand. He lost his grip on her and she was able to slip away. Yeah it's a lame escape xD Whatever, she spent a while outside and moved around from mischief to mischief, but was usually kicked out for being too rough and rude to the alpha doe. Now she's in Retrovertigo and is doing her best to behave.

Side Notes:

All due to her past.

-She's claustrophobic.

-Does not mingle well with other females.

-The two silver cuffs on her legs ARE in fact from the human.


Oh yeah; she doesn't see her brother again or anything. I may turn him into a character though, I have ideas
